ionic 2 is in alpha... angular 2 is in alpha.... look in the angular 2 docs --> their documenation is far away of a "complete" state.
so keep calm.
The conference app is there to show you the state of development, to get an idea what ionic 2 is and how it will work.
I think the ionic team would complete the documentation if it is sure, that there are no breaking changes or they know that there are no additional components needed.
Maybe they want avoid so much crying "babies" like they have with the backend-services...
"this does not work...", "why is this feature not implemented", "oh my gosh... my implementation does not work anymore..." ... yes this happens if you hardly try to use alpha software ... and yes in alpha state apis and functionalities can change a lot.
So pleeaase you jumpy youth.. take... some... time.
Follow the updates of angular2 and ionic2 ... spend some time with friends and your family... you will be noticed if things are ready or nearly ready.
