This is really shitty thing... tried thrice !! Same is happening with me..... !! my internet speed is good.... !!
I even updated npm now... !!
Now ionic is broken.... and is no getting installed !! Ionic Lab is working fine....but i want ionic cli too.... 
Tell me the solution plz
