Lighthouse in stencil e2e tests with Playwright

Hi, I’m currently using Stencil and Stencil/Playwright to test our web components. I was wanting to see if I can implement Lighthouse performance testing inside our stencil e2e tests.

I have looked at both playwright-lighthouse and plain lighthouse libraries, but the problem I encounter is that when the test runs:

  • Browser opens on localhost:3333 and the test injects our web component
  • When the lighthouse part of the test runs, it opens another browser and navigates to the url (localhost:3333), however this browser doesn’t have our web component.

From what I’ve seen, there’s no way to make lighthouse use the “page” we already have in the test.

Does anyone know if it is possible to get this working or a pointless endeavour?
