Capacitor splash screen not showing on ios
Thanks. I eventually solved it (after much searching) by doing the following. In capacitor.config.json, change/add auto hide to false. I also removed the “launchShowDuration: 0” that was there:

Ionic missing app store icon
Again, for future reference: Apple is reading the icon from your app package (ipa).
If you have added the “” line to your config.xml, and added an image, then everything will be all right after you submitted your app for review.

Update on VueJs Support
Looking over the ionic-framework/vue commit history there has only been 3 commits this year. Could someone at Ionic please advise what the longer term plans are for Ionic with VueJS support?
Is there a plan to get it out of beta, or is that no longer the case. It would be great to see it get the same love the other frameworks get.

Debugging IOS
I have an app that is working correctly on Android and in Chrome and Safari. It has a bug that only appears when the app is installed on a physical IOS device. I have tried to debug the app using the process described here:
While I can see the phone and open pages in Safari, I don’t see my app. I am using an “App Store” distribution version of my app. I assume this is why I can’t see it in Safari.
When I create a Development version of my app using a development profile, I can’t upload it to Apple using Transporter. Transporter tells me “A Distribution Provisioning profile should be used when submitting apps to the App Store” Fair enough, the app store isn’t for development I guess.
I found this post from 2016:
I used option 3. (I had to modify the command to: ionic capacitor run ios -l -c -s)
The app runs here with no problems either. I tried multiple emulators. All ran fine.
How can I debug this app?

Prevent ion-input to take focus within ion-item when its value got changes
The following code snippet reproduces the effect that when an ion-input’s value got changed progammatically, here via a button click, then the ion-input will receive focus automatically as an effect. This effect is only observable within an ion-item container. How can this effect be prevented?
Apart from the fact that this is unwanted, it also comes with the side effect of the virtual keyboard popping up since the input receives focus. That’s only acceptable if the user sets focus explicitely on the input.

I can't open a new window in iOS
This didn’t work for me. I solved the issue with this (with cordova@9.0.0):

Ionic 5 react router cached

I am using ionic with react, I have common component which is used on all changes for alerts which will check for redux state and display alerts based on isError true.
but when I move from 1-2 pages alerts is showing that many times as react router will cache it.
how to handle this kind of situation

Can I get the size of the Live Update package before download?
Ok, so I did this.
I set update mode to background and min-background-duration to 999999.
But now it never even downloads the update.
I think it won’t even check for a new version until the min-background-duration timeout hits. Can you confirm this?
