Good evening, I generated an order application with ionic.

Good evening, I generated an order application with ionic. It runs on a local server and users access it through their cell phone browser using the server’s IP address. But what happens is that the cell phone keeps changing to https://. I tried to generate it using ionic and openssl and I did
this way in angular json. I don’t know if it still works. You have an idea.

Welcome! You are going to need to provide more details, though, this sounds like this isn’t really Ionic related but instead a server configuration issue. Deploying an Ionic app on a server as a SPA or PWA is pretty much like any other SPA/PWA.

What is the “local server”? What is the “cell phone” - Android or iOS? What browser?

I know Chrome defaults to https as it is 2025 and every site should be using it :grinning: It would be good practice to use a domain name and not the IP directly too.

There is, but without much more information. The project target is only mobile, so I didn’t send it earlier.

Have you looked into what is causing those JS Reference Errors? Very likely that is what is causing your blank screen.

Even though your target is only mobile, the app running on the phone is still running in a WebView and looking at DevTools for the WebView is useful in many cases :grinning:

Hello,

I’m using the latest ionic in vanilla JS and it works out fine, however I’ve this piece of code to generate a list of items:

It works fine in most cases, however sometimes the output note is very large resulting in this:

Is there a way to make it behave like native iOS where if it doesn’t fit the note will be displayed on a new line? Here’s the example from iOS settings:

You could force it to always be two lines by applying position="stacked" to your ion-label.

Otherwise, you’ve gotta edit the Shadow DOM and apply flex-wrap: wrap. Here is a Vue example but should work for regular JS too.

Stacked works, had to had a margin-bottom to the notes to make it look good.

The only thing missing was an option to stack dynamically like in native iOS. :slight_smile:

I’m facing a similar issue after updating to Capacitor 7. My toolbar content and tab bar icons seem misaligned or squeezed on Android tablets, even though they looked fine with Capacitor 6.

Thanks Lucien, searching based on this information I found out that apparently there are already tickets on GitHub for Ionic as well as Capacitor.

Unfortunatelly I wasn’t able to remedy this issue, neither with your suggested fix, nor with the plugin @capacitor-community/safe-area which someone there mentioned. So I guess I’ll have to wait for a fix from the Capacitor dev team.

after migrating my app (latest ionic version with capacitor 6) to capacitor 7 i can’t do builds in android anymore.

ok I had 2 problems:

Capcitor Apple Sign In isn’t supported by Android and i had to modify manually this 2 files:

.idea> compiler.xml

.idea> misc.xml

Unable to Record Audio Using Mic in In-App Browser (Ionic 7.2.0)

I am unable to record audio using the microphone in the browser. The browser opens through the In-App Browser plugin, so it is running within a mobile app. I have fixed the ‘RECORD_AUDIO’ permission, but I still cannot record audio. My Ionic version is 7.2.0. Can anyone help me resolve this issue in Ionic, or is it impossible to record audio using the microphone in the In-App-Browser?

Hello,

I am using IonHeader in my ReactJS project, but I am facing an issue. The header is not displaying properly—it is positioned at the very top of the screen, with no space above it. It seems like the content is overlapping or there’s no padding/margin at the top.

Could anyone please guide me on how to fix this issue? Am I missing some configuration or styles? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
